i graduated from the university of michigan: ann arbor in may 2015 with a bachelor's of arts in political science and a minor in community action and social change. while i was at michigan, i was on the varsity softball team and active in my campus hillel. 

 

about a year ago, i decided that once i graduated i would take time to widen the lens that i was looking and living through. i had always been curious about israel, for personal and professional reasons- as the jewish homeland and the only democracy in the middle east, it seemed like a natural choice for my first stop. 

 

i chose to participate in the yahel social change program, a 9-month service learning experience. this blog details my impressions and reflections from that program and as a new sabra in israel.
